I love summer. Can't wait for summer. Live for summer. So do my kids and this is why. My boy will fish and fish. That's not why I like summer, (can't stand fishing myself) but I love just being outside and going to the mountains. By now you all know I prefer B&W, but I just felt so lucky here that "B's" shorts matched this little row boat.

Summer Love
Baby Brooks
I loved this shoot because Dad is about 6'4" and baby was about 6'5".... pounds and ounces, that is. It made Brooks look so tiny in his dad's big hands. I love it when dads can be involved in newborn sessions just for this reason.
Janessa
So this girl is one of the most beautiful I know. How old do you think she is? I took these about a year ago when she came to help with her little newborn sister's shoot. While mom was feeding little sister I couldn't resist and had to take a few. So she was eleven when I took these. Sorry boys....you're gonna have to wait 3-4 more years before you can go out with her!

A Boy And His Dogs
Alrighty then....this was definitely a different kind of shoot. "S" was so good to take pics of, the dogs on the other hand had different ideas. They are cockapoos. Brother and Sister (Sparky & Chassis) don't look alike at all. But aren't they so cute! I guess they only grow to be around 4 pounds. They just had to explore everything in the house and wanted to play when the camera was on them. This was more like sports/action photography than a studio shoot. Aww, it was great. Another good experience.

Vintage Wash
Posting those last 2 pictures that I took in Wallace reminded me of these I took a few years ago. I really like the look of the Vintage Wash because it gives a just a little color, but also makes the picture have an old fashioned feel like Sepia. It works even better when there are alot of colors in the original shot. The leaves here were starting to turn gray, so you can imagine how great they would be if there were brighter leaves.

Amazing Light
I had forgotten about these shots. I love them. I was just so surprise when I saw them on the screen. I didn't play with the light on these at all. I was just lucky at that moment the the light was just where I needed it to be. I love old backgrounds like this. We took these in Wallace, ID in October. Most of the town was built in the 1890's so there are a lot of opportunities for cool backgrounds like this. I have to search far and wide for stuff like this where I live.
